Top Indian archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das on Tuesday tied the knot at Morabadi in Ranchi, following all the social distancing norms strictly to avoid the Covid-19 threat during the low-key wedding ceremony.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was present on the occasion and complimented both Dipika and Atanu, wishing them a happy married life.

Deepika’s close acquaintance had informed India Today that only 60 invitation cards have been sent out to the guests with all the safety protocols to be followed during the ceremonies printed out on them.

Strict social distancing measures were put in place with guests divided into two batches of 50 each. They were handed masks and sanitizers on arriving at the venue. The duo got hitched during the “free-time” possible because of the pandemic that has brought the world to a virtual standstill.
