CPI-M and Cong Holding Talks Ahead of 2021 Bengal Assembly Polls, to Rally in Kolkata Tomorrow

A joint rally of the Congress and CPI-M slated to be held in Kolkata on Monday is a step in direction of an alliance forward of the 2021 Meeting elections as casual talks on the problem are on, Congress sources mentioned on Sunday.

The West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (WBPCC) and the Communist Celebration of India- Marxist (CPI-M) will rally on November 23 to protest towards the alleged ‘anti-people’ insurance policies of the Nationwide Democratic Alliance (NDA) authorities on the Centre.

The BJP has already began preparation to tackle the ruling Trinamool Congress. The Congress and the Left will face challenges from the TMC, BJP and AIMIM within the state polls.

Celebration insiders mentioned that each events will chalk out joint political programmes throughout varied Bengal districts to emerge as a 3rd political various within the Meeting polls.

“Each the events met to arrange the highway map for the approaching Meeting polls,” the sources mentioned.

CPI-M chief Sitaram Yechury has mentioned that defeating the TMC and the BJP is a precedence for his celebration as he blames the TMC for BJP inroads within the jap state. The West Bengal may see three-cornered contest with AIMIM giving an edge to the BJP, as was seen in Bihar Meeting polls.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has reportedly supplied an alliance with TMC and awaiting a response. Howver, it is unlikely that the TMC will be part of arms with AIMIM, contemplating it would give the BJP a bonus, the sources identified.

As many as 90 seats within the 294-member West Bengal Meeting have sizeable Muslim voters, who could be a deciding consider any ballot battle. Even when the AIMIM could not win many seats in Bengal, it may certainly play a Bihar-like spoilsport for the TMC and the Congress.

Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has accused AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi of making an attempt to learn the BJP. Owaisi has denied the cost and maintained that he was operating a political celebration and contest elections wherever the celebration needs.

Muslims in West Bengal account for 27 per cent of the overall voters, a majority of them going together with the TMC and the Congress prior to now.

The BJP received 18 Lok Sabha seats within the 2019 normal elections and any additional division of Muslim votes in Meeting elections will solely profit it.

The districts of Murshidabad, Malda, and North Dinajpur have greater than 50 per cent Muslim inhabitants whereas Birbhum, North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Nadia have greater than 25 per cent Muslims.
