PM Modi Also Has 6 Siblings, Nitish Kumar Targeting Him, Says Tejashwi as JDU Defends CM’s ‘8-9 Children’ Dig

Bihar Election 2020 LIVE Updates: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s dig about “having eight to nine children in the quest for a son”, which was apparently targeted at Tejashwi Yadav, irked the RJD leader who said the chief minister was targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi who also has 6 siblings. “By commenting on my family, Nitish Kumar is targeting PM Modi as he also has 6 siblings. Using such language, Nitish Kumar has insulted women & my mother’s sentiments. They don’t speak on main issues including inflation, corruption, unemployment etc,” Yadav said. On Monday, Kumar attacked Tejashwi Yadav and his father Lalu Yadav. “Does anyone care? They have eight-nine children. They have no faith in daughters. After so many daughters, they had a son. You all can see – this is the kind of Bihar they want to make,” the chief minister said.

Meanwhile, Congress president Sonia Gandhi today accused the Bihar government of being “high on power and ego”, saying it had deviated from its path. “High on power & its ego, current Bihar government has deviated from its path. Neither their saying nor doing is good. Labourers are helpless, farmers are anxious & youth are disappointed. Public is with Congress Mahagatbandhan and it is the call of Bihar,” she said. With just one day to go before voting for phase 1 of the Bihar polls, LJP’s Chirag Paswan has decided to sharpen his attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Chirag Paswan will address a press conference today to bring attention to the works of Kumar. Paswan has been constantly criticising the chief minister, with whom he reportedly fell out after a disagreement over seat sharing.
