Apple Watch 5 ‘disappears’ from official site after Watch 6 launch

Soon after the launch of the Watch 6 and Watch SE, Apple has stopped showcasing the Watch Series 5 on its website. While Apple is still continuing to sell the Watch 3, last year it discontinued Watch 4 soon after the launch of Watch 5.
The newly launched Apple Watch 6 features a similar design and has the same set of features that is there on the Apple 5. The major differentiating feature is that Watch 6 now comes with blood oxygen or SpO2 sensor. With this sensor, the Apple Watch 6 can function as a pulse oximeter.
Like Apple Watch 4 and 5, the new model also comes with ECG, Irregular heart rhythm notification and heart rate monitor. While watchOS 7 update will be available to Watch 4 and 5 users, they will not get the SpO2 monitor.
So, if you want to buy a new Apple Watch in 2020, you have three options- the top-end Watch 6 with all the latest features like SpO2, ECG, heart rate and heart rhythm health feature or the old Watch 3 without ECG or SpO2. You can also opt for the new Watch SE, which offers the same health features like the older Watch 3 but comes in a new design and sensors that are similar to the Watch 6.
In India, the Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS) starts at Rs 40,990 and the Watch Series 6 (GPS + Cellular) at Rs 49,900. One the other handThe Apple Watch SE (GPS) starts at Rs 29,900 and Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) starts at Rs 33,900. The old Watch 3 starts at Rs 20,900 for the 38mm GPS only version.
While the Watch SE doesn’t come with ECG and SpO2, it looks similar to the Watch 6 and comes with features like the Noise app that helps monitor noise pollution, Fall Detection and International Emergency Calling. These features are missing in the older Watch 3.
