Apple has put in about $330 million Taiwan-based company AU Optronics that specialises in glass substrates for MicroLEDs of about 20-25 microns, says the report. The manufacturer, as per the report, will manufacture displays of Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad, MacBook and more.
In other news, Apple has released the first public beta of Apple watchOS 7. The first beta will acquaint users with the new features, which will arrive on Apple Watch in late September or in early October. This is the first time that Apple has released a public beta for watchOS.
The first public beta of watchOS 7 includes features like automatic handwashing detection, sleep tracking, and more. Along with this, users will also get customisation of watch faces which include Chronograph Pro with a tachymeter and it also allows users to download watch faces directly from websites. Apart from the customisation of watch faces, the OS version also brings sleep tracking functionality and automatic handwashing detection.
