You can now buy groceries from JioMart using MyJio app
Reliance Jio has included JioMart inside the popular MyJio app. Reliance Jio subscribers can directly shop from the MyJio app without having to download another app. Reliance hasn’t launched it officially yet and it is still in the testing phase. You can check out the JioMart shop inside the MyJio app to see whether it is available in your region or not. On clicking the JioMart pop-up, you will be directed to a page called JioCart Beta inside the MyJio app.
Reliance had launched the JioMart app in July on Android. The app is currently delivering in over 200 locations. Though it’s yet not clear which are these cities/areas. To attract new users, JioMart is offering free delivery. It also claims to offer products at least 5% below the MRP.
As for payments, the app offers support for multiple payment options including net banking, credit/debit cards, sodexo for food products, ROne loyalty points and even cash on delivery. There’s also a search option. “Browse for your desired products, categories and favourite brands with our easy and robust search functionality,” says the app’s details on Play Store.
Jio claims that the most of the products — fruits and vegetables — available in JioMart are sourced directly from farmers.
Meanwhile, Reliance Retail is warning internet users to be careful about fake websites pretending to be part of JioMart. In a caution notice published on Reliance’s social media platforms, Reliance Retail said that it “would like to inform the public at large that we are not operating any dealership or franchise model currently nor have we appointed any franchisee or any agent for appointing any dealer or franchisee in any manner whatsoever. Further we do not charge any amount under pretense of appointing a person as a franchisee.”
